SO, WHAT DO ODEN FILLERS FILL?

When I tell an industry outsider that Oden manufactures liquid filling machinery I’m frequently asked what products we fill. Technically, we don’t fill anything. Our customers do!

Quite a few of our customers fill honey and we’ve posted a video on our website demonstrating one customer’s Oden filler in the process of filling honey into a container. After viewing the video on Facebook, one Friend commented: “Wow! That’s amazing”. (If you’ve never watched a filling line in action have a look: Honey Bear Filler , Honey Filler .) I had a similar reaction when watching a machine transform flat paper rectangles into neatly folded napkins. Before then I never considered how napkins were made. Fascinating stuff!

But, let’s get back to liquid products. When you really stop to think about it, they are ubiquitous. You find them everywhere: grocery stores, hardware stores, home help centers, automotive stores, beauty & health care stores, and on and on; and every packaged liquid product you see was filled by a liquid filling machine. That’s where Oden comes into the picture. Companies that manufacture these products need liquid filling machines.

Oden’s filling machinery is designed to accommodate a wide range of products. For example, a Servo/Fill® liquid filler fills free flowing products, like flavorings or biological reagents, but it also fills viscous, abrasive, particulated and foamy products, like liquid hand soap, shampoos, floor wax, fruit syrups, paint additives and pasta sauce. One Servo/Fill filler usually handles all the liquid products a customer packages, and that filler could be a benchtop machine with one filling head, or it could be a fully automatic liquid filling machine with multiple heads. There are many options and configurations for Oden fillers, but that conversation is for another day.

So, what products do Oden fillers fill? A general rule of thumb is that if a product can be pumped, it can be filled by an Oden filler. We’ve compiled a list to show the many types of products our customers fill. If we could name customers and their brands, you would recognize many of them.  If you use ANY of the products listed below, it’s a good bet you are using a product filled on an Oden liquid filling machine!
