A customer that supplies supermarkets and foodservice establishments in western Canada and northwestern United States purchased a Pro/Matic liquid filler to replace a two head pneumatic filler. Fill volumes range from 8oz - 105lbs. Problems experienced with the pneumatic filler included touchy, constantly dripping nozzles, missed containers, difficulty matching conveyor speeds with filler speed and nozzle height, and cleanups that bogged down productivity. The six head Pro/Matic dramatically improved their productivity: a PLC interface controls filling parameters, conveyor speed, container indexing, container no-bottle, no-fill function, and electronically controlled positive cut-off no-drip nozzles. Fast tool-less changeover and electronic recipe driven set-up require miminal downtime between runs.
